Class Ratings:

Newbie:  No computer experience required

Beginner:  Must be adept with mouse and know basic point & click techniques.  Subject matter will start at beginning and teach basic fundamentals.

Beginner-Intermediate:  Must be adept with mouse and know basic point & click techniques.  Subject matter will start at beginning and continue through more complex skills.

Intermediate:  Assumes working knowledge of basic fundamentals.  Will teach complex skills.

Introduction to Computers
Rated: Newbie
Find your way around Windows XP, including basic word processing, e-mail, e-mail attachments, web searching and file management.   No typing skills required.

Windows XP-Quick Start
Rated: Beginner - Intermediate
Learn multi-tasking and sharing information between projects plus detailed file management - including creation of sort cuts and customizing menus.

Microsoft Word v2000
Rated: Beginner
Learn to be proficient with Word, including how to set tabs, use page formatting, fine tune headers & footers, work with several documents at a time, perform search and replace, move and copy. 

Advanced Word v2000
Rated: Intermediate
Learn to use mail merge, mailing labels, macros, tables, columns and graphics.

Beginning Excel
Rated: Beginner
Learn basic spreadsheet skills including creation of formulas, format data, protect data and various print options including graphing.

Advanced Excel
Rated: Intermediate
Learn to graph data, create formulas to reference several sheets, use lookup functions, what-if Scenarios, Pivot tables and macros.

Access
Rated: Beginner - Intermediate
Start from the beginning and learn terminology, design technique, set up tables, link tables, create forms and reports and query for specifics.

Scanning

Learn basic scanning skills, including where and how to save, what resolution, and file type to use to make it e-mail or web page ready.

Graphics & Photos

For people with scanners and those interested in editing photographs.  Use Paintbrush and Adobe PhotoDeluxe to learn photo editing techniques such as brush, fill, erase, clone, copy, paste, and layering.  Save pictures as bmp, jpg & gif file types plus repair damaged photos.
